In
1999, puddles was started in Japan as an exchange
program with European artist organizations. puddles
is more than just presentations of good art; it
is discussing the different social functions of
art in Japan and Europe. puddles is fighting bilaterally
for the continuity of the non-commercial art network
and for an extended cultural exchange. In 2001,
ten Japanese artists will come to Europe to present
their work, and to learn about the local structures
and possible strategies of European artists. In
the Fall of 2001, four selected German artists
will visit Japan as part of the puddles exchange. |
